House
The house is peacefully set within thirteen acres of parkland with private woods and orchard. It is easy to get here with the motorway just ten minutes away and Bergerac airport a relaxed twenty minutes drive.
From April to the end of September the house is available to rent only on a weekly self-catering basis but we also offer catering as a separate arrangement. The house sleeps up to fourteen people with six bedrooms and four bathrooms. Out of season the house is available for shorter periods as a Bed and Breakfast. Winter Salon

A handsome Sitting Room with it’s large open fireplace, built in beautiful oak cupboards and old oak beams give this room real character and charm. Cool in the summer months and warm with the open fire in winter. Large Sky television along with an extensive library of DVDs. A great family room to be enjoyed by all for any season.
Summer Salon



A lovely airy room which leads out on to the back terrace and the garden with the path up to the woods and tennis court. Sliding doors either end provide a wonderful cool breeze through on a hot summer’s day and the views are superb over the orchard and gardens. There are an assortment of family games to play as well as cards and enough space for all either during the day or in the evenings.
Dining Room


A beautiful dining room leads from the passageway to the kitchen for evenings when you feel like dressing up a little. There are doors to the Winter and Summer Salons where you can have before or after dinner drinks.
Lovely built in oak cupboards give the room character as well as a large dresser that houses glassware and china. Portraits of family members add to the atmosphere of splendour and an elegant dining table and side board give this room a slightly more formal feel. The window looks out towards the magnificent driveway and gardens either side.
Entrance Hall

Wide, elegant entrance hall leading from the front door towards the back terrace with downstairs bathroom, bedroom, a passage leading to four other bedrooms and bathrooms as well as the staircase to more bedrooms upstairs and the Winter Salon.
Kitchen



The kitchen is very well equipped to cater for fourteen people. So you can either cook up a feast yourselves or we can do it for you by separate arrangement.
There are numerous appliances to include:
2 large fridge/freezers, 6 ring burner with large gas oven, Conventional electric oven, Dishwasher, Kitchen Aid Mixer, Large Magimix, Vegetable Juicer, Large Blender, Toaster, Kettle, Selection of sharp kitchen knives, Orange juicer, Spiralizer, Assortment of pots and pans, Casserole dishes, Cutlery and Crockery, Numerous standard items
Pool House

Wonderful space that overlooks the pool and gardens. Complete with bar and American fridge/freezer. Separate bathroom with shower cubicle leading from the back of the room behind the bar area.
Large tables provide the perfect spot for lunches or candlelit dinners by the pool. Great for parties too. Large cupboard for storing clean towels. Dishwasher and sink behind the bar. Loads of character and charm.
Terrace

The long wide terrace at the front of the house provides ample space for eating outside shaded by huge cream parasols and the vast oak tree in the centre of the courtyard. The kitchen door is visible in this photograph and makes it easy to prepare meals at any time of day. Lavender planted on the edge of the terrace wall reminds us we in the heart of the beautiful Dordogne.
A Weber BBQ is one end of the terrace for those who like to BBQ and steps lead down to the central courtyard which is surrounded by the 18th Century barns and outbuildings. A truly wonderful place to sit and sample the local delicacies of both food and wine. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner all through the summer months.
The Drive


Magnificent drive leads up to the house flanked by Hornbeam trees with views over the park like gardens to the right and the swimming pool on the left. Newly restored and in great condition, it is an impressive entrance to La Ronciere and leads through in to the courtyard at the front of the house.
From the drive you come to the Southern Aspect of the house with the Old Barn wall and entrance to the courtyard. French shutters on the windows and door which leads to the passage next to the kitchen and dining room. The two attic bedroom windows overlook the drive and gardens.
The Old Barn wall is on the left which was originally built according to the plaque at the front in 1818, has loads of charm and character of a bygone age. Double gates can be closed to the courtyard and front terrace beyond. The pool house entrance is just before the barn on the left.

Here you can see the back of the house with its large terrace and croquet lawn in front. To the left is the swimming pool and pool house.
Magnificent views of the gorgeous French countryside in the tiny hamlet of Le Cluzeau. The large oak tree in the centre of the picture shades the courtyard and surrounding barns as well as the pretty terrace at the front of the house. The large park like gardens and private woods fall below this photograph but it gives you an idea of the house with it’s beautiful Perigordian roof.
